With over 30 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, we provide custom and small-batch metal part manufacturing with CNC turning, CNC milling, wire EDM and grinding.
We work with an engineering mindset: we do not only manufacture the part, but also clarify the critical points based on function, installation and cost-effective manufacturability, including fits, tolerances, surfaces and material selection.
With CNC turning, we manufacture custom and small-batch rotational parts: shafts, bushings, connectors, threaded components and spacers. On our Mazak Quick Turn 2002MY machine, we can also work from bar stock up to Ø65 mm, while for larger parts the machinable diameter can be up to Ø380 mm.
Thanks to driven tools and the Y-axis, in many cases several milling operations can also be completed in a single clamping in addition to turning, such as holes, grooves and flats. This reduces lead time and improves the accuracy of fits, because there is less variation caused by re-clamping.
+1 tip
Before requesting a quote, it is worth identifying the truly critical fits, while specifying reasonable tolerances for the other dimensions. The same function can often be manufactured much more cost-effectively.
With CNC milling, we manufacture prismatic parts and more complex machine elements in custom and small batches. On our HAAS CNC machining centers, we select the machine depending on the workpiece size and the operations required (MiniMill, VF2, VF-2SS), and 4-axis machining is also available on the VF2.
We organise manufacturing so that critical surfaces and holes are machined in one setup, with stable workholding. This improves fit accuracy, reduces the need for corrections and makes assembly more predictable.
+1 tip
If the part needs to be machined from multiple sides, it is worth marking the primary datum surfaces (A/B/C) on the drawing from the start. This helps a lot in maintaining accuracy and repeatability.
We use wire EDM when complex contours, sharp internal corners or high-precision cut-outs are required, especially in materials where conventional machining is difficult, such as hardened tool steel. On our Fanuc RoboCut Alpha C400iB machine, precise contours and tool components can also be manufactured.
The advantage of the technology is that cutting takes place with low force, so thinner and more delicate geometries can also be manufactured safely. With 0.1 mm wire, we can create radii as small as 0.05 mm.
+1 tip
In wire EDM, corners and radii are critical: when defining them, it is worth coordinating the wire diameter and the required internal radius already during design, as this can significantly reduce cutting time and cost.
We use grinding when dimensional accuracy and surface quality are decisive, for example on mating surfaces, pins/shafts, bores or flat surfaces. With surface grinding, cylindrical grinding and internal grinding, we ensure accurate dimensions and smooth surfaces, also as post-machining after CNC machining.
The goal is for the part not only to be accurate, but also to fit precisely during assembly. With grinding, in many cases, tolerances and surfaces can be achieved that would be more difficult or more expensive to maintain with machining alone.
+1 tip
It is worth clarifying the grinding allowance in advance: an overly large allowance specified for safety unnecessarily increases machining time and cost, while an allowance that is too small may not be enough to achieve the accurate dimension and good surface quality.
We review the critical dimensions, fits and surfaces, and clarify the installation environment.
Based on the requirements, such as load, wear, corrosion and heat, we recommend the material and raw material form.
Based on the workholding and operation sequence, we prepare the production program.
CNC turning and/or CNC milling adapted to the task, with stable workholding and a repeatable process.
We check the critical dimensions; if needed, 3D measurement also supports verification.
We hand over or deliver the finished part in the agreed form, with the necessary identification and documentation.
Lightweight materials with good machinability for prototypes and near-series parts.
For general machine parts where cost-effectiveness is the main consideration.
For wear-resistant tool and fixture parts where durability and edge retention are important.
For corrosion-resistant solutions where the operating environment and cleanability are critical.
For parts requiring good conductivity or sliding properties, such as bushings and inserts.
